How Do I Exchange an Item I Purchased?

Salt & Cerulean Studio accepts exchanges of items within 14 days of your order. T-shirts must be unworn/unwashed. Send items to us at:

Include the original packing slip (or at least a note) with the following info:

  • The order number, or the name and email address of the buyer.
  • The item(s) and/or size(s) you want in exchange. Remember, larger sizes cost more. Items are for a direct exchange (shirt for shirt, panel for panel) not value exchange (dollar for dollar). Additional charges may apply if you’re up-sizing (XL to 2XL, small to large panel) or a different style (t-shirt for a hoodie).
  • We will ship the exchanged item(s) to the same address as the original order.
  • Finally, if it was a gift order, and you do not want the original buyer notified of the exchange, write no email prominently on the internal packing slip and we’ll make sure to keep it between us.

Note:

  • You must contact us first to start the exchange process
  • Customers pay return shipping on exchanges. We recommend USPS, but you can choose any major carrier.
  • We don’t charge a restocking fee
  • Custom/personalized items are not eligible for exchanges.
  • If you send back an item we deem as worn or washed we’ll charge you a “sneaky bastard” fee in the amount equal to the item. Period. Don’t do it, you’ve been warned.

  • If you’re local, you can exchange wood panel items at any of our markets within 30 days of receiving it. Wilmington locals can learn more about the pick-up process here. Contact us first, don’t just show up and expect to exchange your item, we’re cannot carry everything to every market “just in case”!
